Today I am telling about a beautiful place in Dooars GARUBATHAN/UPPER FAGU
Garubathan locally known as Sombare.Actually the name Sombare comes from Sombar(Monday).Garubathan is a small town of Kalimpong District,West Bengal India.
Lot of people come here to see the natural beauty.Specially  in winter season lot of visitors come here and organise gate together party ( picnic) and enjoy themselves.Garubathan situated east bank of Neora river.
Lot of big big stones makes the river bank attractive among the tourists... really beautiful view,the water of the river very cool. This river has emphasised  the beauty of this place.
Garubathan is popular for its beautiful landscape of hilly and alpine forest on the surrounding area and the Neora river.

And its mind blowing scenic beauty has increased the attraction of this place among the tourists.

A small fort called DALIM FORT SITUATED On top of the hill.
From evening gradually total area cover by fog... great feeling.

From Siliguri only 77 kms . 
Transportation time 1hr 30 mnts approx

by car from siliguri or
By train...nearest station New Mal from there by car.

My choice by car from siliguri because
By car from siliguri via sevoke road
This journy is more comfortable and enjoyable.
Exciting view... Forest, Hill and Tea gardens, beautiful coronation brige(Bag pool)and Beautiful teesta river. Road condition is very good.

Siliguri - via sevok rd - forest - hill - sevok Kali Mandir and Shiv mandir - Over Coronation brige(Bag pool) going towards Odlabari - leesh river bridge - Juranti river bridge - Ghish river bridge - Odlabari - then after crossing Chel river bridge - Damdim more - turn left via Rishi /lava Rd beside sailly T.E.- Minglass T.E. - Hill start - Garubathan bazar- after half km turn left downward road - Gorubathan neora bridge( Lohar pool)- Destination.
